Welcome to MAP, the network of museums in the heart of Sint-Niklaas. Funding authority
MAP Sint-Niklaas holds the quality label of 'recognised museum'. This label is awarded by the Department of Culture, Youth and Media of the Flemish Government, and comes with a classification as a regional museum.
Each year, in this context, MAP receives an operating grant of €125,000. This funding is secured until the end of 2023. In 2022, a new application round opens for regionally recognised cultural heritage institutions. For temporary projects, we apply for project funding from the same Flemish Government. In the past, this has been done for:

Frontline Life World War I in 3D (2018-2019)
Mission à la carte. Missionaries and cartography. (2019)
No new project funding applications are currently planned. More information on the work of the Flemish Government's Department of Culture, Youth and Media can be found on their website.
Donations
Do you have an object you'd like to donate to MAP? That's possible.
Please note: never bring your object to the museum without a prior appointment! While we're delighted with every new acquisition, we're unfortunately not able to add every object offered to us to the museum's collection.
Every potential donation or purchase is first assessed by our collections team against a number of key criteria. Where necessary, we also call on the expertise of independent specialists.
Send us an email with as much practical information about the object as possible. As a picture says more than a thousand words, please include a few photos too (front, back, and the artist's signature, if applicable)! Don't forget to include your contact details.
